Success Story: Nour & Rawan — “My Lifestyle, My Health” Program

As part of the My Lifestyle, My Health program, two dedicated 9th‑grade students, Nour and Rawan, organized and led a lively and educational workshop for a group of 5th‑grade girls at their school in Aqb Al‑Jaber refugee Camp.

They designed a session combining fun and fitness with important health lessons: the girls competed in team-based activities—jump rope, relay races, and a water‑bottle filling challenge—earning extra points and first turns by correctly answering simple health questions such as “Is breakfast important?”, “How many cups of water should we drink daily?”, and “Why is it important to sleep early?”

The result was a vibrant and engaging environment filled with laughter, movement, and curiosity. The younger students not only learned about healthy habits but also experienced joy and excitement while doing so. Meanwhile, Nour and Rawan practiced essential leadership skills—they designed the activities, communicated instructions, and encouraged confidence among the participants.

Nour shared, “I was nervous at first, but when I saw the 5th graders smiling and shouting answers, I felt proud. It showed me I can make a difference.”
Rawan added, “We didn’t expect them to love it so much—they even asked us to come back next week!”

This session embodied the program’s dual impact: younger girls gained knowledge and confidence about their health, and older students developed leadership, creativity, and a sense of agency—creating a powerful, peer‑led catalyst for positive change in their school community.
