International Football Day

Palestine Sports for Life to Celebrate International Football Day with 100 Children at Al-Tira Institute – UNRWA

On 25 May, Palestine Sports for Life (PS4L), in collaboration with the Representative Office of Canada to the Palestinian Authority, will host an interactive International Football Day celebration at Al-Tira Institute – UNRWA in Ramallah.

The event will bring together 100 children from five UNRWA schools for a day of engaging, football-inspired educational activities that highlight the power of sport to unite, educate, and inspire.

Participants will rotate through a series of interactive learning stations that combine football with themes of teamwork, inclusion, respect, leadership, and global citizenship. Through fun and participatory activities, children will strengthen essential life skills while celebrating football's unique ability to connect people across cultures and communities.

The event reflects PS4L's ongoing commitment to using sport as a catalyst for positive social change, creating safe and inclusive spaces where children can learn, grow, and thrive.

By celebrating International Football Day, PS4L and the Representative Office of Canada reaffirm their shared commitment to empowering young people and promoting education, equality, and peace through the universal language of sport.
