Vocational and Educational Orientation Days in Gaza Strip

On March 6th, PS4L in cooperation with GIZ implemented on behalf of BMZ, and in partnership with the Ministry of Education and Vocational Education Department in Gaza; implemented vocational and educational orientation days in Gaza. A total of 200 young males and females participated in these activities. The event was implemented in parallel in two vocational schools.

100 females from four schools visited Abed Al Mo’ity Alrayes vocational school and participated in different sports sessions run by PS4L trainers to develop their life skills such as communication, teamwork, leadership, and decision-making. In addition to learning first hand the different vocational professions available such as cosmetics, graphic design, hairdressing, and more professions in order to have a better idea of what their options can be for education and career.

In parallel, 100 males participants, from three different schools visited Der Al Balah Vocational School and had the opportunity to participate in life-skills and sports sessions and visiting vocational workshops which gave them a generic hands-on background on ceramics, car mechanics, electric circuits, cooling and heating and other professions that helps them decide on their future career pathway.
