Two Vocational Orientation Days in East Jerusalem

PS4L in partnership with UNESCO and in Corporation with Ministry of Education and Higher Education (MOEHE), Jerusalem Directorate of Education, and the Arab Orphan Industrial School, conducted two- days vocational education orientation session for 100 students from Abu Obeida School in Jerusalem. During the first day, students participated in an educational tour in Arab Orphan Committee- Jerusalem, where they learned hands on about the professional workshops within the association and the work opportunities it offers such as electricity, carpentry, mechatronics, and other professional specialties. In parallel, sports activities that aimed to introduce students to employment soft skills through sports. During the second day, students were oriented on their educational and career pathways and how to write a resume through sports exercises, in addition to sports and life skills sessions that focused on soft employment skills. The students reflected on the two days sessions, and it widened their perspective on the different educational pathways according to their strengths, interests and needs in the labor market.
