PS4L Nominated for "April 6 Initiative of the Year" Award
PS4L has been nominated in the category “April 6 Initiative of the Year” of the 2020 Peace and Sport Awards. In April 6, PS4L participated in raising a white card to symbolize the strength in using sports to achieve peace. PS4L initiated the "Stay Home, Stay Connected" motto, where challenges were initiated to increase physical activity and the white card symbolism was celebrated by Palestinians and PS4L members. There were four other recognized organizations who were nominated alongside PS4L: International Judo Federation; Kosovo Olympic Committee; Ministry of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports of Georgia; Secretary of State for Youth and Sport, within the Ministry of Education of Portugal. The voting took place online from November 26th to November 30th. Winners will be announced on December 16th on Peace and Sport online platforms (Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, and Linkedin). PS4L thanks Peace and Sport for this nomination; we appreciate the recognition of our work to bring about positive change in the community through sports for development. Being part of what matters in the community is what we stand for!
