PS4L's Founding Story
The story on how PS4L came to be has been published on the NGO Common Goal website, titled "Founding Story: Palestine Sports for Life - Empowering Young People in the Midst of Conflict". Director and Co-Founder of PS4L, Tamara Awartani, talks about her experience before founding PS4L and how she recognized the lack of opportunities to play football in Palestine for females and males (both genders facing various dilemmas). She talks about the struggles in ensuring students have a safe place to play, and how PS4L began collaborating with the Ministry of Education. Tamara also touches upon how PS4L has stayed active during the COVID-19 pandemic through online and in-person means (especially for those who lack access to technology in refugee camps), while maintaining safety protocols. We are proud of where PS4L has reached in making an impact on trainers, youth, and the public community, while also representing the developing and resilient Palestine.
