End of Coach Accreditation Program
The first accredited program on Purposeful Play in Palestine, the Coach Accreditation Program, has come to an end. This program was conducted by Coaches Across Continents (CAC) educator, Charlie Crawford, and PS4L Director and Co-founder, Tamara Awartani, and supported by the Catalyst Foundation for Universal Education. Through the program, 19 selected Palestinian candidates learned how to educate students outside classroom settings, impact the United Nations Sustainable Development Group (UNSDG), and safeguard child rights through Purposeful Play methodologies. This month, candidates conducted sessions of play outside the classroom, both online and in-person (on fields and courts), by including what they have learned in the accredited program. Trainers used monitoring and evaluation tools, which was learned through the program, to measure the affects of their lessons. In December, PS4L will hold a celebration for the 19 candidates who completed the program and will award the coaches certificates on becoming accredited coaches. PS4L is grateful to be a part of this strongly needed program, and is excited to see the impact it will bring to the Palestinian community.
Testimonials of the Palestinian Candidates:

I learned how to design a game from scratch and relay a message. These techniques gave me effective ways to present ideas to children I am targeting." - Rana Khawaldeh, Sports Supervisor & PE teacher, UNRWA Qalandia
