Ending of World Team Skills Championship

For the first time in Palestine, PS4L in cooperation with the Ministry of Education - Department of Student Activities,  participated in a remote international basketball tournament organized by the United Nations of Basketball (through the apps: HomeCourt and FanApps). A girls and boys team under 17 (U17) years old competed in the tournament. For the boys basketball international tournament, ten countries participated besides Palestine: Taiwan, Hawaii, Lebanon, Romania, Spain, Philippines, Turkey, Samoa, Ghana and the Kingdom of Eswatini. As for the girls basketball international tournament, seven countries participated besides Palestine: Hawaii, Spain, Somalia, Lebanon, Philippines, Samoa, Ghana, the Kingdom of Eswatini.

After the completion of the first round in agility, ball handling, and shooting on the HomeCourt app, Palestine U17 Boys Basketball Team ranked 4th place and competed in the final four. Our players obtained high rankings when competing with teams from different countries. Regardless of the positions they placed and rankings, we are beyond proud of our students in representing Palestine in an international competition while also experiencing a new approach in playing the sport of basketball. 

Overview of High Rankings:
In the first-round of the game, from Palestine's U17 Girls Basketabll Team: 11th place in shooting was Bisan Khoury; 17th place in ball handling double target was Yasmin Durzi; 20th place in ball handling double target was Bisan Khoury; and 23rd place in ball handling double target was Faten Hammad. In the first stage, the girls team placed 5th, a one-point difference from entering the final four.
In the first-round of the game, from Palestine's U17 Boys Basketball team: 2nd in agility cross training was Saif Sarrawi; 4th place in agility cross training was Wisam Mjahed; 5th place in agility cross training was Ali Odeh; 8th place in agility cross training was Qusai Odeh; 9th place in agility cross training was Firas Banoura; 13th place in agility cross training was Majd Qishawi; 14th place in double target ball handling was Qusai Odeh; 15th place in double target ball handling was Wisam Mjahed; and 18th place in double target ball handling was Firas Banoura. 
In the second round of the game, Palestine's U17 Boys Basketball Team made it into the final four: 4th place in the agility footwork ladder was Qusai Odeh; 9th place in the agility footwork ladder was Tony Imseeh; 12th place in the agility footwork ladder was Wisam Mjahed; 15th place in the agility footwork ladder was Qusai Odeh; 16th place in the agility footwork ladder was Ali Odeh; 20th place in shooting was Majd Qishawi; and 24th place in shooting were Qusai Odeh and Wisam Mjahed.
