Football for Employment Program Continued

Palestine: Sports for Life (PS4L) continued the "Football for Employment" program that was first initiated and completed in the girls government school in Qalandiya Refugee Camp.  On December 1st, in cooperation with the Ministry of Education, 100 girls from 9th and 10th grade in Tubas girls government school were familiarized to the industrial school in the city to learn about their options and the registration process. The following day, 100 girls from 9th and 10th grade from Tulkarem girls government school were also introduced to the industrial school in the city and Tulkarem Palestine Technical University - Khaduri, the continuous learning center. Through this program, PS4L expert trainers introduced school girls to educational and career pathways using Holland Code Career Test, while also developing their employment life skills. Additionally, students were taught how to correctly write their own resume, which is crucial for career prospects. From both schools, 200 girls participated in the Football for Employment sessions; this is in hopes for increasing the participation of females in the labor market.

PS4L thanks the Ministry of Education - Department of Students Activities and TVET Department for their cooperation and support. Thanks to PS4L coaches who carried out the comprehensive two day program in both Tubas and Tulkarem girls government school: Yumon Masri, Momen Masri, Alaa Yameen, and Renad Mousa.
