Initiatives By CAC Accredited Palestinian Coaches

In July, coaches who completed the six-month Coach Accreditation Program [developed by Coaches Across Continents (CAC) in partnership with PS4L], implemented activities within their schools and centers. This accredited program was the first of its kind in Palestine intended on equipping sports educators in properly initiating education outside the classroom, impacting the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UNSDGs), and safeguarding child rights through purposeful play methodologies.  Two coaches from different districts in Palestine initiated their designed purposeful play and life skills activities:
  • Coach Arwa Abu Jokha, a physical education teacher,  implemented a recreational day at Yanoun and Khirbet Altaweel villages for young girls who do not have access to sports.
  • Coach Renad Mousa, a life skills trainer and physical education teacher, implemented activities to highlight the importance of education for children. She initiated the activities at a summer camp in the Palestinian city of Tulkarem.
