Kick for Trade Program in Iraq
In May, PS4L sports and life skills coaches Yumon Masri and Suad Alqam worked alongside Common Goal (CG) and CG Community colleagues from Kick4Life, F.C Assist Head Coach Craig Taylor, and AlSalaam school to deliver specialized employment and entrepreneurship trainings for coaches in Iraq as part of the Kick for Trade program in cooperation with the International Trade Centre (ITC) . Thirty coaches from Basra and Baghdad attended the Kick4Trade training workshops and will begin delivering the employability and entrepreneurship curriculum to young people in their communities.
Kick for Trade is being jointly implemented by the International Trade Centre (ITC), the UEFA Foundation for Children, streetfootballworld (CG), Kick4Life and PS4L. Kick for Trade is a specialized program aimed to improve the social and economic well-being of youth through football-based life skills development that support their progression into employment and an entrepreneurial future. Simultaneously, the program also focuses on renewing and developing the skills of football coaches in the field of social development.
