Summer Camps - West Bank & Gaza
Palestine Sports for Life (PS4L) implemented a long awaited program for the Palestinian youths from July to September. Among these programs was the Palestinian-American summer camps held in July targeting 240 students ranging from ages 13 and 15 from the West Bank and Gaza. Students participated in developing activities based on their future outlook on their education and careers, in developing their life skills ( such as independence, self-confidence, perseverance, career planning and teamwork), and developing their verbal and written skills in english; all by using purposeful play activities to relay the message. The summer camps were organized at UNRWA Qalandia School for Girls and UNRWA Al-Amari School for Girls. These camps were all funded by the American Office of Palestinian Affairs. The program held in Gaza was similar to the one in the West Bank targeting 80 Palestinian girls within the same age range.
