  1. PS4L's Transformative Training Programs

From May 14, 2023, to May 17, 2023, PS4L's Trainer Suad Alqam orchestrated a Dual Career Athletes Development course in Hebron, Palestine of which 19 trainers participated. This program was meticulously designed to benefit unemployed coaches, physical educators, and fresh graduates, with a specific emphasis on nurturing their social and financial skills. The overarching goal was to equip participants to thrive in multiple professions, whether within traditional employment or entrepreneurial endeavors. The course harnessed the innate drive and interests of athletes, with an emphasis on fostering not just financial security but personal and professional growth.

Throughout this course, athletes were provided with a unique opportunity to uncover their existing skills, leverage their strengths, explore genuine interests, and make informed career choices. Beyond mere employment, the focus was on empowering participants to unlock their full potential.

Following this, another course, led by trainers Suna Nakhleh and Rana Khawaldeh, took place from May 21 through May 24, 2023. This program centered on sports leadership and management. It was tailored for graduate students, unemployed physical educators, and coaches, equipping them with the knowledge, skills, and talents essential for thriving in managerial and leadership roles within the sports industry. 15 Participants gained a comprehensive understanding of how to effectively lead and manage sports organizations, teams, events, and facilities, all while grasping the unique challenges and intricacies of the sports business.

Heartfelt congratulations were extended to all who successfully completed both courses. PS4L expressed its hope that participants found the experiences engaging and enlightening. The organization conveyed its delight in having these individuals as part of their courses and expressed confidence that the knowledge and skills gained would serve them exceptionally well as professionals in the field of sports leadership and management. Furthermore, participants were encouraged to view their learning experiences as opportunities and challenges to seize, thus enriching their professional journeys.

These two articles underscore PS4L's unwavering dedication to sports development and education, both regionally and globally, and the pivotal role it plays in empowering individuals within the sports industry. Through its strategic alliances, transformative training programs, and commitment to fostering talent and skills, PS4L continues to be a beacon of hope for aspiring sports professionals and enthusiasts alike.

2. Empowering Youth and NEETs in the Sports Industry

On July 11th, PS4L representative Maysoun Nakhleh and Dr. Mohammed Araj, Director General of the Employment Department at the Palestinian Ministry of Labor, joined forces with various partners and members of the Skills4Sports Strategic Alliance for the final conference of the Skills4Sports project held in Greece. This event showcased PS4L's achievements in the Skills4Sports project in Palestine, which was generously funded by the ENI CBC Med Programme.

Maysoun Nakhleh played a pivotal role during the conference, presenting the successes of PS4L in Palestine's Skills4Sports project targeting 55 trainers. Moreover, she actively participated in roundtable discussions, sharing valuable lessons learned from this transformative initiative.

Dr. Mohammed Araj contributed his expertise to the event by engaging in discussions focused on "Sustainable Strategies for NEETs Empowerment in the Sports Industry." His insights were invaluable in addressing the challenges and opportunities in empowering young people not in education, employment, or training within the sports sector.

This event served as a platform to express gratitude to Dr. Mohammed Araj and all the dedicated partners and strategic alliance members who played a pivotal role in this journey's success. PS4L reaffirmed its commitment to continuing its mission of empowering youth and NEETs in the sports industry. The organization aims to bridge the gap between the skill sets of aspiring sports professionals and the demands of the labor market, thereby creating better job opportunities.

Skills4Sports (skills for sports) is a project funded by the ENI CBC MED Programme which aims to increase ‎the employability of NEETs (an acronym for a person who is "Not in Education, Employment, or Training'') in the Mediterranean area by training new professionals ‎for the sport and e-Sport sector, reducing the mismatch of skills and involving the ‎main stakeholders in the process. The project will also strengthen the institutional ‎capacity of at least 60 representatives of organizations, non-profit organizations (NGOs), and local authorities ‎in addition to 1200 NEETs in the Mediterranean through specialized seminars.
