FC Bohemians Hosts PS4L National Team for Solidarity Football Match
In a powerful demonstration of solidarity and sportsmanship, FC Bohemians hosted our team from Tulkarem, Palestine, in Ireland to participate in a memorial match against the Palestinian women's national football team. This hosting is part of the joint campaign by FC Bohemians and Sport for Life, advocating for "Every Child Has the Right to Play," and it signifies the strong bond between our organizations.
Scheduled for Wednesday, May 15th, this match holds special significance as it coincides with the 76th anniversary of the Nakba, marking a poignant moment for both teams.
The participation of Yumon AL-Masri and Jana Abu Hayyash signifies a message of unity and friendship between Ireland and Palestine. Particularly, Yumon will share her background and experiences as part of PS4L's community program in Tulkarem and also Jana.
Taking place at Dalymount Park, this match marks the first-ever appearance of a Palestinian national team in Europe, amplifying the voices and struggles of the Palestinian people. Moreover, amidst challenging times, the event will serve as a fundraiser for vital humanitarian efforts in Palestine.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Bohemian FC for hosting our team through Sport for Life to watch the match.
