Palestine Sports for Life Wins ISCA Award for Integration and Mental Health through Sport 2025
Copenhagen, November 2025 – Palestine Sports for Life (PS4L) has been honored with the Integration of Refugees through Sport (IRTS) and Mental Health Award 2025 at the MOVE Congress held in Copenhagen, Denmark, and organized by the International Sport and Culture Association (ISCA).
Selected from 99 global initiatives, PS4L was recognized for its exceptional efforts in promoting psychosocial well-being, education, and community resilience through sport — particularly among refugees and conflict-affected populations in Palestine.
The award highlights PS4L’s innovative use of sport as a tool for healing and empowerment, especially through its Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS) Program in Gaza. The program provides safe spaces for children and families to heal, grow, and restore hope amid ongoing displacement and trauma. Through activities such as play, movement, and psychosocial exercises, participants regain emotional balance and rebuild a sense of normalcy despite the challenges of conflict.
“This recognition is not just for Palestine Sports for Life,” the organization stated. “It is a victory for all of Palestine — and especially for the people of Gaza — whose resilience and spirit continue to inspire us every day.”
PS4L’s work has long emphasized the intersection between sport, education, and mental health, creating inclusive environments that empower youth, women, and refugees to overcome barriers and thrive.
The ISCA Awards celebrate organizations around the world using sport as a catalyst for social inclusion, health, and community development. PS4L’s achievement reinforces the crucial role of sport in addressing trauma, strengthening social bonds, and building a foundation of hope in vulnerable communities.
With this international recognition, Palestine Sports for Life continues its mission to transform lives through sport — one game, one session, and one child at a time.
