Game On, Stay Safe: Strengthening Community Safety in the West Bank
Palestine Sports for Life (PS4L) in partnership with Norwegian People's Aid (NPA), has launched the Game On, Stay Safe: Conflict Preparedness and Protection (CPP) & Explosive Ordnance Risk Education (EORE) program across the West Bank.
As the first phase of the initiative, six PS4L trainers and instructors from Jenin, Tulkarem, and Tubas are participating in a 4-day Training of Facilitators (ToF) delivered by the Palestinian Mine Action Center (PMAC), the nationally mandated authority responsible for coordinating and overseeing mine action activities in the West Bank . This training is designed to strengthen the knowledge and facilitation skills among the Risk Education Officers (REOs), enabling them to lead upcoming community awareness activities on conflict preparedness, protection, and explosive ordnance risk education.
Through this partnership, NPA and PS4L are committed to empowering local communities with the knowledge and tools needed to enhance safety, preparedness, and resilience across the West Bank, with children constituting the largest proportion of beneficiaries. Which reflects a targeted focus on one of the most vulnerable groups affected by conflict related hazards, ensuring that child-friendly, age-appropriate approaches are prioritized within awareness and risk education activities and efforts. .
Stay tuned for more updates as we continue working together to build safer and more resilient communities.
