Two Days of Sport and Celebration Bring Together More Than 210 Children in Tulkarem

Tulkarem, Palestine – Palestine: Sports for Life (PS4L), in partnership with the UEFA Foundation for Children, organized two days of celebration and sports activities in Tulkarem, bringing together more than 210 children and young people aged 6–17.

The first celebration took place on 9 August 2026 at the Deaf and Mute Association, with the participation of 100 children and young people, whileThe second was held on 11 August 2026 at Al-Omariya School, bringing together 110 participants.

The two events provided children and young people with an opportunity to release their energy through sports, fun and engaging games as Football to spend their time together in a safe and inclusive environment, creating opportunities for teamwork, participation, friendly competition, and enjoyment.

For Jihan (a participant), the experience was a memorable one as she said “It was a very fun and special day, We really enjoyed ourselves, played together, and we always love having days like this with activities and football.”

 Another participant -Mohammad  described the experience as “a great experience for me, It was a fun way to release our energy, play enjoyable games, and especially have all the activities centered around football.”

For the coaches, the events were also an opportunity to develop leadership and organizational skills while creating positive experiences for children, therefor Yathrib -a coach, said: “It was a great challenge for me as a coach to organize a small tournament for a large number of children ,from dividing the teams and organizing the games to following up with each child and encouraging them. It was a day full of excitement, laughter, and competition and the best part was seeing the happiness and enthusiasm in their eyes. Every time I organize an activity like this, I am reminded that coaching is not only about sport; it is also about leadership, organization, and creating positive and happy moments for children.”

Through this partnership, PS4L and the UEFA Foundation for Children continue to support opportunities that use sport to create positive, safe, and inclusive experiences for children and young people in Palestine, helping them connect, participate, and enjoy the simple joy of playing together.
