Circle In Palestine program holds its second Training of Trainers (TOT) Session in Hebron District

Palestine: Sports for Life (PS4L) has conducted the second Training of Trainers (ToT) session under the Circle In Palestine programme in Hebron District, as part of the wider Circle In sport-for-development initiative launched by Qatar Foundation, Education Above All Foundation, and the International Olympic Committee.

The four-day training, held on 22, 24, and 29 September and 1 October 2026, brought together 15 teachers, coaches, and trainers, preparing them to facilitate sport-based educational activities for children and young people across the district.

The ToT focused on strengthening participants' knowledge, practical skills, and capacity to deliver inclusive, sport-based activities that promote learning, participation, personal development, and psychosocial wellbeing. Through interactive sessions, practical exercises, and peer learning, participants explored approaches to integrating sport, play, and values-based education into safe and supportive learning environments.

The training also provided an opportunity for participants to exchange experiences, practice programme activities, and strengthen their readiness for the upcoming implementation phase.

Reflecting on the training experience, Hayat, one of the participants, shared:

“Through this training, we learned how to become more aware of children’s needs and rights and how to provide them with a safe, supportive, and stimulating environment. We also learned how to use sport as a tool to support children’s personal development, strengthen their self-confidence and teamwork, and enhance their ability to make decisions.”

Following the training, the 15 teachers, coaches, and trainers will facilitate Circle In activities across 15 schools and youth clubs in Hebron District, targeting approximately 750 children and young people. Each participating school or youth club will engage 50 students, divided into two groups, with sessions delivered twice weekly over a three-month implementation period.

Circle In is a three-year sport-for-development initiative launched by Qatar Foundation, Education Above All Foundation, and the International Olympic Committee, with Circle In Palestine being implemented by PS4L. The programme aims to expand access to safe, inclusive, and structured sport-based learning opportunities for 6000 children in West Bank and Gaza while strengthening the capacity of local educators and sports practitioners.

Palestine: Sports for Life (PS4L) is a Palestinian non-profit organization that uses sport as a tool for development, empowerment, and positive social change, working with children, young people, women, and communities to promote education, wellbeing, social inclusion, equal opportunities, and personal development.

By combining sport, purposeful play, and values-based education, Circle In supports children and young people in developing essential life skills, strengthening their wellbeing, building positive social connections, and actively participating in their communities.
