Success Story: Yamen’s Journey Back to Learning

In one of the Temporary Learning Spaces in Gaza, Yamen began his journey feeling disconnected from school and learning. He showed little interest in attending or participating, and he struggled particularly with writing, often doing so in a random and unstructured way.

Through consistent support, patience, and individual attention, the facilitators worked closely with Yamen to help him build basic writing skills. Step by step, he was guided on where to write, how to organize his ideas, and how to approach tasks in a more structured way.

Within just two weeks, a noticeable improvement emerged. Yamen became more engaged in the sessions, showed greater willingness to participate, and his writing developed into a more organized and clear form. His confidence also began to grow as he experienced success in his learning process.

Yamen’s progress highlights the importance of safe, supportive learning environments and the impact of continuous psychosocial and educational support. His story reflects how even small, consistent efforts can lead to meaningful change in a child’s educational journey.
